HIT 2 Movie Synopsis:
HIT 2, aka HIT: The Second Case, is the second instalment of the HIT film franchise, written and directed by Sailesh Kolanu. While Vishwak Sen played the lead role in the first part, Adivi Sesh is seen as the lead in the second part. While the first part deals with the investigation into the kidnaps, the second part revolves around solving the murder mystery. HIT 2 Movie Story:
Krishna Dev, aka KD, the SP of Vizag City, is an intelligent cop who is best at his work. He gets challenged by a serial killer who targets women from a particular community. KD gathers different clues and marks a few suspects in his investigation to find the killer. The real tension for KD begins when he discovers that his prime suspect is not the true murderer and his love interest Aarya is kidnapped. Who is the killer? What is his intention in these serial killings? How does KD track down the murderer and save his love interest? All these questions will be answered as the investigation and the screenplay unfold.
HIT 2 Review:
While HIT: The First Case has a backstory about orphans, HIT: The Second Case is based on women’s welfare communities. This time, the backstory is a bit stronger, the pain is a bit deeper, and so the serial killer is a bit wilder. Sailesh Kolanu, the writer and director of the film, chose a very similar pattern in the setting of the story for both the first and second cases. A killer is born out of pain, investigation, suspects, the cop’s love interest being targeted, and finally the resolution. All these elements might look the same in the second part of the HIT Verse. But the brilliance of Sailesh lies in the execution and the presentation. The cop versus killer challenge and face-off is the real key element in HIT 2‘s screenplay.
HIT 2 has a greater amount of blood and violence when compared to the first part. Arranging the body parts of four different victims as a single unit is just a sample shown in the trailer. The film has many more such things, particularly in the second half. While the first part focuses on KD’s investigation, his understanding of the psychology of the killer, and finding a few clues and suspects, the real thrill begins post-interval when he slowly gets closer to the true identity of the killer. The killer in HIT 2 is very strong, and so the face-off between the cop and the killer is very thrilling to watch as they challenge each other’s brilliance. Yes, the audience will be entertained by finding out who Kodi Burra finally is.
Krishna Dev, aka KD, is an intelligent cop with both the attitude and satire that the Vizag people usually have. Adivi Sesh perfectly fits the role. Adivi Sesh previously portrayed a cop in one of his previous films, Evaru. But this time, he is totally a different cop in HIT 2, both in terms of his character and his performance. Sesh has a lot of opportunities to erupt in this film. Also, his balance of emotions is very great to watch on screen. Undoubtedly, Adivi Sesh is going to be a great addition to this squad of cops in the future of the HIT Verse.
Meenakshi Chaudhary as Aarya, KD’s girlfriend, is just not a regular female lead or a glamour factor in the film. Instead, she gets a much more important role as someone who gives emotional support to the male lead and also helps him by providing some clues in the investigation. Meenakshi’s performance is very good, particularly her chemistry with Adivi Sesh.
Srinath as Abhilash from the first case, plays an important role in the second case too. Komalee Prasad as Varsha is so good as a strong female cop. Rao Ramesh and Posanli Muralikrishna are the senior actors in the film. Suhas, in his little but special role, plays a key role in the investigation.
Urike Urike is the only song in the film that comes in the early hours of the film. The song is picturized so beautifully, and the film unit made good use of the beauty of Vizag. Sid Sriram’s vocals are special and mesmerising as always. The chemistry between Adivi Sesh and Meenakshi Chaudhary is so elegant to watch in this song.
John Stewart’s background score is very impressive.
Manikandan’s cinematography is the best part of the technical side of the film. Also, equal credit goes to Garry BH, the film’s editor, for keeping the film’s runtime crisp.
HIT and HIT 2 are interconnected. The audience might not get the high of Vishwak Sen meeting Adivi Sesh in this second part of the HIT Verse. Instead, you will be shocked with the interconnection established between the two parts by Sailesh Kolanu. This is purely the brilliance of his writing. It is so certain that the audience are going to witness Vishwak Sen and Adivi Sesh together very soon, probably in the third part. While Vikram Rudraraju and Krishna Dev entertained the audience in the first two parts, Arjun Sarkar, a ruthless cop, takes charge of the third case. Yes, someone special is going to play Arjun Sarkar. Keep guessing for the time being, and then experience the thrill in theaters. You will be very satisfied with Arjun Sarkar’s entry in the climax of HIT 2. Welcome to the HIT Verse.

HIT 2 has a bigger case when compared to HIT. Sailesh Kolanu, Adivi Sesh, and Nani together increased the scale of the film with a deeper investigation and a stronger serial killer.
