Love Today Movie Story:

Love Today is a crazy tale of modern-day relationships. Pradeep (Pradeep Ranganathan) and Nikitha (Ivana), who are deeply in love with each other, decide to take their relationship to the next level and approach Nikitha’s father (Sathyaraj) for permission to get married. Nikitha’s father accepts the young couple’s marriage on one condition, which is to exchange their mobile phones for one day. The couple accepts the challenge and does the same. The real issue arises when the couple learns about each other’s true nature. The upcoming events in the couple’s lives form the rest of the narrative of Love Today.

On-Screen Performances:

Pradeep Ranganathan and Ivana, the lead pair of the film, both excelled in their roles. While Pradeep looks very active and energetic on-screen, Ivana acted well in the emotional scenes. Also, the chemistry between the lead pair is adorable.

Sathyaraj is one of the biggest strengths of the film. Despite having less screen time, the senior actor plays an important role in the film’s proceedings.

Raadhika Sarathkumar and Yogi Babu justified their roles.

Off-Screen Highlights:

Pradeep Ranganathan, the writer and director of the film, chose a crazy concept for the film. A modern couple in today’s generation of youngsters changing their mobile phones for one day is really a crazy idea, which is very relatable to most of us. Pradeep also planned the events after the inciting incident in a funny manner, which resulted in unlimited laughter from the audience in the theatres. Infusing social media into the story to unfold the scenes is another brilliant move from Pradeep. He filled the first half with hilarious sequences and saved the consequences for the second half. The drama is the key to the second half of the film. The climax stands out as the highlight.

Yuvan Shankar Raja’s background score is top-notch. The production design of the film deserves special mention. Telugu dialogues and dubbing are good.
