Even though Dulquer Salmaan is from the background of Malayalam cinema, he has created a fan base for himself after playing Lieutenant Ram in the film Sita Ramam. Dulquer Salmaan is currently busy promoting his upcoming movie, Chup: Revenge Of The Artist. The film is a romantic psychological thriller. Dulquer Salmaan is one of the lead actors in the film. Sunny Deol, Shreya Dhanwanthary, and Pooja Bhatt are the other leads. During the Chup promotions, Dulquer Salmaan has been receiving a lot of praise from the Bollywood media for his performance as Ram in Sita Ramam. A few media people even compared Dulquer Salmaan to Shah Rukh Khan and called him the next King Khan in the making. Responding to these statements, Dulquer Salmaan said, “I feel so happy to be compared to Shah Rukh Khan. But I feel that both the media and the public should stop comparing me to an icon. There is only one Shah Rukh Khan. I am just Dulquer Salmaan who grew up watching Shah Rukh Khan’s movies, taking him as an inspiration. I can never be King Khan. Shah Rukh Khan is the only king of Bollywood”.
Dulquer Salmaan’s upcoming movie, Chup, is written and directed by Balki. Hope Productions produced the film, and Pen Studios is presenting it. Amit Trivedi composed the music for the film. Chup is going to be released on September 23rd.
