Ranga Ranga Vaibhavanga, starring Vaisshnav Tej and Ketika Sharma in the lead roles, looked like a perfect youthful family entertainer with the content seen in the trailer. The film had a decent buzz before its release in the last few days because of the promising trailer and entertaining songs. The film has been postponed several times in the past for various reasons. The makers of Ranga Ranga Vaibhavanga finally locked in the release date for Pawan Kalyan’s birthday, September 2nd, with the blessings of the powerstar and the support of his fans. Ranga Ranga Vaibhavanga Story:
Rishi(Vaisshnav Tej) and Radha(Ketika Sharma) are friends from childhood. Years passed by and their friendship grew along with their age. Rishi and Radha are neighbours now, and they are both practising medicine. Rishi and Radha love each other, but they act like they really don’t. An unexpected incident leads to a conflict between the two families, and they are separated. The rest of the narrative of the film is how Rishi and Radha express their love for each other, putting their egos aside and then reuniting their families.
On-Screen Performances:
Vaisshnav Tej and Ketika Sharma look like a fresh pair on screen throughout the runtime of the film. Their on-screen chemistry is very good.
Vaisshnav Tej’s looks and appearance are very attractive. It looks like the actor tried to recreate his uncle Pawan Kalyan’s body language in a couple of scenes that perfectly suited him. Vaisshnav Tej’s style and dressing sense are also very impressive in the film. The actor pulled off the emotional scenes very well, even though this is just his third film. Vaisshnav Tej also adapted his own style of comic timing. Overall, Vaisshnav Tej stepped ahead with his performance as Rishi in Ranga Ranga Vaibavanga, but there is a long way to go.
Ketika Sharma is a gorgeous match alongside Vaisshnav Tej. She is in top gear in the scenes with the lead actor. Ketika will undoubtedly win the hearts of the young with her elegance and performance on screen.
Naveen Chandra, as Ketika Sharma’s brother, gets another weighty and worthwhile role. Once again, he is up to his mark.
Satya, as the village sarpanch, delivered hilarious laughs in the film. His scenes with Vaisshnav Tej and Raja Ravindra are a booster to the proceedings in the second half of the film.
The rest of the cast, including Naresh, Prabhu, Tulasi, Subbaraju, Rajkumar, and others, are all good. Actually, the casting for this film was a great choice by the director.
Off-Screen Highlights:
Gireeshaaya, the director of the film, chose a simple story and wove the elements within it perfectly. The love story and the relationship between two families are perfectly placed one against the other, and the interlink between them plays the key role here. Gireeshaaya’s writing looks very fresh, especially in the love scenes. The family scenes, establishing the homely environment between the neighbouring families, are equally dealt with top priority. The pre-interval drama and the pre-climax emotions are the best parts of the writing by Gireeshaaya. The comedy track in the second half of the film during the medical camp delivered lots of laughs to balance the entertainment in the film.
Devi Sri Prasad’s tunes are an added advantage to the film. Kothaga Ledhenti and the Ranga Ranga Vaibhavanga title track are the notable songs from the album. The background score is also good, especially in the second half.
Cinematography is an appreciable work from the technical point of view. Siri Siri Muvvallona song picturisation in the hill station stands out to be the best work with beautiful visuals and montages.
The production values of the film are great. Handling two entire families with a huge number of cast needs to be applauded.
