Brahmastra is the upcoming pan-Indian movie starring Ranbir Kapoor and Alia Bhatt in the lead roles. Ayan Mukerji is the director of the film. The film is based on the existence and protection of ancient astras in modern India. The film deals with a lot of Indian history, mythology, culture and practices. The makers of Brahmastra are also promoting the film on the same basis. The makers of Brahmastra had already conducted two promotional events in South India, one in Hyderabad and the other in Visakhapatnam. Today, the makers of Brahmastra conducted another promotional event in Chennai. Alia Bhatt spoke about the most common aspect in the film Brahmastra to get connected to any section of the audience across the nation.
Alia Bhatt could not attend the Chennai promotional event of Brahmastra because of her pregnancy. So she managed to record a video bite for the Chennai audience. The event organisers projected the video at the event. Speaking in the video, Alia Bhatt said that she has a special connection with Chennai and its people. “I played the role of Ananya Swaminathan, a young girl from Chennai in the film 2 States. From then to date, Chennai people have showered lots of love on me. I had recently watched the Tamil movies Master and Vikram and loved them a lot. The movies did well in Hindi too. Brahmastra is one such film that will be loved by everyone in Chennai. Brahmastra is a celebration of Indian culture and so the film will be relatable and connected to every Indian. I am proud to be a part of Brahmastra,” said Alia Bhatt at the Brahmastra promotional event in Chennai today.
Brahmastra is written and directed by Ayan Mukerji. Star Studios in association with Dharma Productions, Prime Focus and Starlight Pictures produced the film. Amitabh Bachchan, Akkineni Nagarjuna and Mouni Roy played prominent roles in Telugu. Pritam composed the music for the film. SS Rajamouli is presenting the film in South Indian languages. Brahmastra is going to be released on September 9th in multiple languages worldwide.
