Siddhartha Reddy (Nithiin) gets a posting as a district collector for the Guntur district in Andhra Pradesh. There he goes against Rajappa, a local rowdy and politician. How Nithiin successfully conducts the elections in Macherla, being a public representative, is the rest of the narrative of Macherla Niyojakavargam.
On-Screen Performances:
Nithiin as Siddhartha Reddy is seen in the best mass avatar of his career in Macherla Niyojakavargam. The film has all the commercial set up to present Nithiin as an action hero, and Nithiin made every use of it. Nithiin’s energy is unmatchable, especially in the action episodes. His intense face-off scenes with Samuthirakani are a treat to watch, particularly for his fans. In terms of his appearance, Nithiin looks very classy in those stylish formals and, at the same time, it adds a mass look too with the characterisation designed for him. The intro fight and high-octane interval block are the best examples of Nithiin’s energy in the film.
Samuthirakani as Rajappa is terrific in the film. He gets a new avatar in the film, suiting his character as a rowdy politician. His verbal war with Nithiin is the most intense performance from his side.
Krithi Shetty is a perfect on-screen match for Nithiin. Her energy in the songs is appreciable. Catherine Tresa plays a glamorous alternative once again.
Vennela Kishore completely nailed the first half of the film with his extreme comedy timing. Rajendra Prasad and Murali Sharma supported him well with the side kicks. Brahmaji as MRO is impressive.
Off-Screen Highlights:
Macherla Niyojakavargam is 160 minutes’ worth of commercial stuff. MS Rajashekhar Reddy chose a simple plot of a hero-villian face-off on some issue, but the true wealth of the film exists in the execution of that rivalry. Rajashekhar presented the political issues in a great way. His writing perfectly suits the commercial film. The election campaign scenes are also pictured well. Besides the commercial writing, Rajashekhar also made full use of Vennela Kishore to run the first half without any lag. Then, coming to the second half of the film, the film has non-stop action starting from the high-octane interval block and proceeding thereafter to the ending.
The action episodes are the highlight of the film. Every action scene looks very intense, making the film a perfect action entertainer.
The songs of Macherla Niyojakavargam are of special advantage. Ra Ra Reddy is the highlight among the songs on the big screen, as known to us all. A special mention to both Nithiin and Anjali for their energy in this song. Chill Maaro song is well choreographed. Besides the songs, Mahati Swara Sagar also produced a terrific background score for the film. The background score helped a lot in presenting Nithiin much more stylishly in many scenes, especially the introduction fight.
