Naga Chaitanya played the role of Aamir Khan’s best friend in the film Laal Singh Chaddha. The role was very special in the film, as is known from the words of both Aamir Khan and Naga Chaitanya during the promotions of the film. The film unit released a special video revealing the special features and details about Naga Chaitanya’s role in the film. Naga Chaitanya’s character name is Balaraju Bodi in the film. He comes from a small village, Bodipalem. In the video, Naga Chaitanya can be seen looking like his grandfather, Akkinneni Nageswara Rao. Naga Chaitanya tried these looks for the first time in his career. Be it the mouthpiece or the thin moustache or the hairstyle, Naga Chaitanya is totally different in his looks, matching the perfect South guy. In the special video released by the makers, Aamir Khan, the actor and producer of the film, said that he is so thankful to Chay’s parents, Nagarjuna and Lakshmi, for raising him with all the good manners. Aamir also revealed that he told Chay’s parents to be proud of their son for what he is today.
Naga Chaitanya also revealed at the end of the special video emotionally that he did not want to move on for sometime from the character Balaraju and the film Laal Singh Chaddha.

Laal Singh Chaddha is directed by Advait Chandan. Atul Kulkarni penned the screenplay for this adaptation of the original. Aamir Khan, along with Viacom18 Studios, produced the film. Megastar Chiranjeevi is presenting the film in Telugu. Laal Singh Chaddha is going to be released on August 11th in multiple languages worldwide.
