Dhanush, aka Dhanush K Raja, is one of the best actors working in Indian cinema today. Dhanush achieved a lot in his film career, from beginning in Kollywood to spreading his wings in Tollywood, Bollywood, and finally Hollywood, and has many records and awards to his name. 1. Asuran:
Without a doubt, Dhanush’s best film to date is Asuran. Dhanush gave his career-best performance as Sivasaami in the film, earning him the national film award for best actor in 2019. Asuran also won a national award for best feature film in Tamil. Asuran‘s director, Vetrimaaran, established the film as a trendsetter and one of the best of the decade. 2. Aadukalam:
Aadukalam (Pandem Kollu in Telugu) will undoubtedly rank second on the actor’s list of best films. This is Dhanush’s second collaboration with director Vetrimaaran, following their first collaboration Polladhavan. 3. Vada Chennai:
Vada Chennai is the third film from Dhanush and Vetrimaaran’s most successful collaboration. The film is considered to be one of the best crime action dramas in Indian cinema. Vada Chennai is a three-part trilogy, with the first instalment going viral in India. The film is both a commercial and critical success. It is still regarded as a cult classic in Kollywood. 4. VIP:
The film, about unemployed graduates, has captured the attention of young people all over the world. 3 remains one of the best romantic films in South Indian cinema, not just in Dhanush’s career. Dhanush as Ram and Shruti Haasan as Janani will be remembered as the best on-screen couple for the rest of our lives. The film is well-known for its romantic story, on-screen chemistry between Dhanush and Shruti Haasan, and, most importantly, Anirudh Ravichander’s musical compositions. 7. Karnan:
Karnan is a hard-hitting film from Dhanush and director Mari Selvaraj. The film is about caste violence, and Dhanush plays Karnan, who fights for his people’s rights. The film appears to be very raw and rustic, with Dhanush giving an intense performance. The film’s technical presentation and brilliant use of metaphors are its highlights.
