Ram Gopal Varma had always wanted to make a film about martial arts since he was a college student. He finally did it very recently. But as we know that RGV always follows a unique and different path in every film he makes, he does the same for his dream martial arts film too. He made the film with a lady version of Bruce Lee, Pooja Bhalekar. The film is titled Ladki: Enter The Girl Dragon. The film was created through an Indo-Chinese collaboration and will be released in China as well. The Telugu title for the film is Ammayi. The film is going to be released on July 15th in both India and China. With the film’s release being planned in China, RGV adds a record to his name.
RGV is the first director in India to make a full-length martial arts film. Yes, Ladki (Ammayi) is India’s first martial arts movie. Ram Gopal Varma made this film as an Indo-Chinese production collaboration. He even picked a real-life Taekwondo champion, Pooja Bhalekar, to play the role of the lead actress in the film. Another historic record and moment for RGV is that he is releasing the film Ladki in the native country of his inspiration, Bruce Lee. Yes, Ladki is being released in China. Another exciting and unimaginable news is that Ladki is being released on 40,000 screens in China. As always said by RGV, making a film on martial arts and presenting his obsession with Bruce Lee was his dream, and it is becoming true today.

Ladki: Enter The Girl Dragon is produced by Artsee Media. Parijatha Movie Creations and Shresta Patel Movies are presenting the film together. Parth Suri played the male lead alongside Pooja Bhalekar. Ravi Shankar composed the music for the film. The songs are available on Mango Music. Rammy is the cinematographer, and Kamal is the editor.
