Godse Telugu Movie Review:
Story:
Godse (Satya Dev) takes a few VIP’s in Hyderabad as his hostages. The entire city will be on high alert for this by the police. A special police force with Vaishali (Aishwarya Lekshmi) as supervisor will be in action to solve this case. Who is Godse? Why did he take VIP’s as hostages? How will Vaishali solve this case? These questions will be answered as the film progresses.
On-Screen Performances:
As we all know, Satya Dev is a solid performer as always, he gives his best again in Godse too. Godse offers Satya Dev an intense role and he justifies it perfectly. The best part of Satya Dev’s acting is his dialogue delivery with lots of intensity and command. The climax part of the film where Satya Dev delivers a long speech is the major highlight in terms of his acting.
Aishwarya Lekshmi had a very good debut with Godse. Playing a cop in the very first film is a challenge and she handled it with ease and care.
Off-Screen Highlights:
Gopi Ganesh penned an engaging and intriguing hostage drama. The writing in the first half and climax is very good. The dialogue writing, especially in the climax needs a special mention. Each and every dialogue will be a hard hitting question for the system and thought provoking statement for the audiences. Also, Gopi Ganesh designed the character of Godse in a great way. Not only the action part from the lead actor, we also connect to the emotional side of the lead character.
Sandy Addanki’s background score is good.
Endnote:
Godse is a decent hostage drama with great writing from Gopi Ganesh and strong performance from Satya Dev. There is a lot of sincerity in the core idea of the film and it reflected in many parts with the support of effective and thought provoking dialogues.
