Major is getting a blockbuster response from the audiences across India. Major is based on the real events in the life of Major Sandeep Unnikrishnan. Major Sandeep is the commander in charge leading the operation to rescue the hostages and counter attack the terrorists in the 26/11 Mumbai Attacks of 2008. He saved 14 hostages directly and led the team to save 137 other hostages under his supervision. He sacrificed his life in the attacks. Major film deals with all these events, but there is a lot more that happened in his life to be a soldier. How Sandeep became a soldier and how patriotic he was towards India are the elements that were picturised in the biopic Major. The film is very inspiring and a must watch film for every Indian.
