Suma spoke about the story of Jayamma Panchayathi. The film’s story is based on a true incident that actually happened in Palakonda of Srikakulam district. Jayamma does exist in reality and the issue had really happened long back. The director Vijay Kumar added some fictional elements from his other observations to that incident in Palakonda and wrote the story of Jayamma Panchayathi.
Speaking about women empowerment, Suma said, “A lot of women have that potential and scope of exploring so much in their lives. But unfortunately, they will be bound to family so as to take care of them. But when your family supports you, you can keep that extra effort and explore more. I have the support of my family and so I would love to maintain a balance between both Television and Cinema from here on”.
