Acharya starring Chiranjeevi as the lead actor is going to be released on 29th April. Siva Koratala is the director of the film. Ram Charan played a prominent role in the film as a Gurukul boy. The role was initially written for 15 minutes by Siva and later extended to 45 minutes with a large scope for the character. It is Ram Charan’s dream to work along with his father in a full-length role and that dream was fulfilled with Acharya. Recollecting his moments on the sets of Acharya with his father and revealing his character in a recent interview, Ram Charan shared a few interesting things about the film Acharya.
Ram Charan About Siddha In Acharya:
“Initially, I was the producer for the film Acharya. But, Siva Koratala found a great scope for the character Siddha which was initially written for 15 minutes and later got extended to 45 minutes. Siva thought that only I could justify the role perfectly with the father and son bonding me and Chiranjeevi has. Thus, I was on board for the film as an actor too. I enjoyed shooting with my father and the audience would feel the same too while watching me and dad together on screen,” said Ram Charan in the interview.
Speaking about his character, Ram Charan said, “Acharya (Chiranjeevi) and Siddha (Ram Charan) are the two characters completely in different contrast to each other. They both fight for the same cause, but on different paths. Siddha believes in Ahimsa and Dharma. But when Siddha faces an antagonist, he chooses a different path to take over him. How Acharya and Siddha’s paths differ from each other and what is the cause they are fighting for, all these elements need to be watched in the film”.
When asked about his work experience with his father Chiranjeevi, Ram Charan said, “Acharya gave me two different experiences working with Chiranjeevi, one as an actor and the other as a son. As an actor, I learned a lot from him. Chiranjeevi is a legendary actor. He still has the same hunger and thirst to take up any challenge for the films. And his competitive spirit with the young actors is immeasurable. He never pointed out my mistakes during the shoot. He let me do my mistakes and learn from those mistakes. As a son, Acharya is a memorable experience for me that I will cherish all my life. These memories are priceless. I could watch, live, enjoy, work and do whatever with my father for a month continuously. I need to thank Siva Koratala for making this possible and Rajamouli for supporting us”.
Acharya is going to be released on 29th April. Matinee Entertainments produced the film. Niranjan Reddy and Anvesh Reddy are the producers. Konidela Production Company is also associated with film’s production. Kajal Aggarwal and Pooja Hegde worked as the lead actresses alongside Chiranjeevi and Ram Charan respectively. Mani Sharma composed the music for the film.
