SS Rajamouli is the first Indian director, specifically the Telugu film director who dreamt of larger-than-life films with Baahubali. He laid the path of Pan-Indian films by crossing all the language barriers. Baahubali was not only liked by Tollywood but also by Bollywood and the other language audience too received the film so great. The film even got a great reception at the international level. The same happened with Prashanth Neel’s KGF too. The film KGF: Chapter 1 got an overwhelming response across India. Now KGF: Chapter 2 is getting the same response. This made Prashanth Neel a Pan-Indian director and it looks like Prashanth Neel is going to become another SS Rajamouli for India, particularly for Kannada Cinema.
Prashanth Neel followed the same path as SS Rajamouli in a few terms. As Rajamouli established all the characters and elevated his lead character in part one of Baahubali, Prashanth Neel too did the same. Both the directors stored the depth of their story, strong emotions, and major twists for part two. While Rajamouli built a strong drama in Baahubali: The Conclusion, Prashanth Neel too stored the best action for KGF: Chapter 2. Also, if we see the craze and the reception for the second part of both the films, it looks similar. Credits to both SS Rajamouli and Prashanth Neel for uplifting the second parts of their respective films in all the terms of craze, reception, impact, technical standards, business, and everything else, and at the same time they achieved standing up to all the expectations.
As we all know that Kannada film industry is a bit less in numbers in terms of business when compared to the other film industries in India. But, Prashanth Neel erased all that just with the immense success of KGF. Prashanth has now already become the SS Rajamouli of Sandalwood. If Prashanth’s success continues the same way at the national level with his upcoming films, he would surely become another SS Rajamouli of India too. Prashanth’s upcoming films are Salaar with Prabhas and NTR31 with Jr.NTR.
