Dil Raju aka Venkata Ramana Reddy is a well-known Indian Film Producer making Telugu films under the banner of Sri Venkateswara Creations. With his judgment in making films, he produced a lot of love stories and family dramas providing wholesome entertainment to the audience. Dil starring Nithiin was Dil Raju’s first film as a producer. The film was released in 2003 and it’s been 19 years since the film was released. The Path Laid For Dil:
Dil Raju started his career in film distribution in 1995. After a series of failures and successes alternatively, Dil Raju struggled a lot and finally got that one big stand for all the struggles with Aadhi in 2002. The film’s Nizam rights got Dil Raju huge profits and he finally decided to start the film production in 2003 with the banner named Sri Venkateswara Creations. Dil was Dil Raju’s debut film as a producer and there was no turning back from then. The success stream continued for 19 years and is still going the same way further.
The Success Of Dil:
Dil Raju chose the director VV Vinayak for his debut film as a producer. VV Vinayak supported Dil Raju in getting the Nizam rights for Aadhi which bagged huge profits for him. So Dil Raju repeated the same director for his debut. Also, Dil Raju went with many debut actors for the film. Nithiin and Neha registered their first blockbuster film with Dil. Dil Raju made huge profits with the film. Dil gave Raju a grand launch as a producer in Tollywood and so he turned his name to Dil Raju.
The Legacy After Dil:
Dil Raju got back-to-back hits after Dil under his banner Sri Venkateswara Creations. Arya, Bhadra, Bommarillu, and Parugu were all blockbuster films at the box office. He launched debutants with Kotha Bangaru Lokam and Josh. He presented Jr NTR and Prabhas in decent avatars in the films Brindavanam and Mr. Perfect respectively. Starting multi starrers from Seetamma Vaakitlo Sirimalle Chettu to F2: Fun And Frustration, Dil Raju shaped Tollywood at his best under the banner of Sri Venkateswara Creations. Also, he produced the best love story Fidaa and the family drama Sathamanam Bhavathi. The remakes of 96 as Jaanu and Pink as Vakeel Saab are from his production house.
Dil Raju is also trying to make films in other languages. He announced a film with Thalapathy Vijay in both Tamil and Telugu under the direction of Vamshi Paidipally. He is also making films in Hindi. The remake of Jersey with Shahid Kapoor was completed already and is ready for release. He also announced the remakes of Naandhi with Ajay Devgn and HIT: the first case with Rajkumar Rao in Hindi. He is also making a Pan-Indian film titled Shaakuntalam starring Samantha.
