Hari confirmed that Yashoda shooting is rolling at a studio in Hyderabad and two action sequences on Samantha were already shot. He also said that Yannick arrived a month ago and choreographed the scenes and now Samantha wanted to rehearse for the portion with the stunt director.
When asked if Samantha was trained for any martial arts for the film, director Hari explained, “What we shot with Samantha were commercial fight sequences, but in a very raw format. That’s why she had to rehearse for the portions. In the film, she has many action sequences — she will be fighting a man, and even a group of men at one go.” Directed by the duo Hari Shankar and Harish Narayan, who are making their debut with Yashoda, the movie is produced by Sivalenka Krishna Prasad under the Sridevi Movies banner.
On the work front, Samantha was last seen in Jaanu and also appeared in a guest role in a special song in Allu Arjun’s Pushpa: The Rise. Presently, the actor is also working on Gunasekhar’s mythological drama Shaakuntalam and is awaiting the release of Vignesh Shivan’s Kaathu Vaakula Rendu Kaadhal.
