Baahubali diva Anushka Shetty, also known with her original name, Sweety, completed 17 years in the film industry. One of her producers Neelima Guna praised Anushka for her exceptional interest and commitment in her performances. Neelima Guna, daughter of the prominent film director Guna Sekhar, produced Rudramadevi, in which Anushka played the lead. The lady producer took to her social media profiles to praise Anushka on the completion of 17 years in the movie field.
Neelima Guna’s cordial note reads, “Congratulations Sweety Garu on completing 17 years in the film industry. In Rudramadevi, Anushka portrayed the character of Kakatiya Queen, Rudrama Devi. She made her acting debut in Puri Jagannadh’s directorial, Super, in 2005 along with Nagarjuna and Ayesha Takia. Super garnered her a Filmfare Best Supporting Actress. Her next with S. S. Rajamouli was Vikramarkudu, which was a major box office hit. She was later seen in Telugu hits like Billa, Vikramarkudu, Vedam and numerous others.
Anushka, who played bubbly roles at the beginning of her career, later earned a grand following with her movie Arundhathi, in which she played the Jejamma character. Her role in Baahubali as Devasena earned her Pan-Indian fame. Sweety has been in movies for 17 years at this point. Having appeared in 47 films, she is one of the highest-paid actresses in India and is popularly referred as Lady Superstar of South Indian cinema.
