Like Dilip Kumar is related with 1960 classic Mughal-E-Azam and Sholay is pronounced to be one of the defining movies of Amitabh Bachchan’s entire career, Pan- Indian star Prabhas says he is welcome to be known after his smash hit film Baahubali. The reward and the references to Baahubali continue to dominate all the remaining characters of Prabhas, who now stars in romantic drama Radhe Shyam. The 42-year-old actor stated that Baahubali is and will be an inseparable part of his life.
Prabhas is in the spotlight of the industry following the release of the much awaited Radhe Shyam yesterday. The actor, who is most popular for his role in the 2015 film Baahubali, has admitted that it’s fine for an actor to be known for a particular film.
“Baahubali changed my life and the lives of the people around me. I’m not at all worried about people still calling or referring to Baahubali. If it’s still happening even after 10 years, it won’t bother me. I’m very proud of it,” he said in an interview with PTI.
The actor also mentioned movies like Sholay starring Amitabh Bachchan and Mughal-E-Azam of Dilip Kumar, and analysed that the actors were remembered by the movie names for generations and that it is fine for an actor to be known for a particular movie. Darling also added that any actor gets a great film once in a lifetime and that it happened to him with Baahubali.
Prabhas, who initiated his acting career in 2002 with Eeswar, delivered big hits such as Chatrapathi (2005), Billa (2009), Darling (2010), Mr. Perfect (2011), Mirchi (2013) and others.
The actor’s latest release is Radhe Shyam, written and directed by Radha Krishna Kumar. Co-starring Pooja Hegde, the movie also stars Bhagyashree, Sathyaraj, Krishnam Raju, Jagapathi Babu, and Sachin Khedekar, among others. The movie, which has received good reactions following its release, is expected to do its best at the box office.
