Amidst the fierce battle between Russia and Ukraine, all foreigners caught up in Ukraine are returning to their own countries. Many Indians also reached the country as part of Operation Ganga. But one Telugu man remained in Ukraine even though he could come. The reason behind his staying back moved many, including Mega Star, Chiru, took to social media to praise the efforts of his fan.
Girikumar Patil is a 40-year-old doctor from Hyderabad, who has lived in a small town Severodonetsk for six years. About two years ago, inspired by one of Chiranjeevi’s action films, the doctor bought a Jaguar and a Panther from the Kiev Zoo. He bought both of them for Rs 27 lakhs. According to Ukraine rules people are allowed to buy wild animals and domesticate them privately. Now, even in the onset of war, doctor Girikumar buys sheep and turkey from the surrounding villages, which have gone four times more expensive.
Why He Don’t Want To Leave Ukraine?
Dr.Girikumar has been living in Ukraine since 2007. He says that he is not stuck in this country, rather he just loves staying back. Can you guess the reason why he did not come from Ukraine yet? The big cats he raises! He was not permitted to bring them with him. That is why he decided to stayback in Ukraine, hiding in the basement of his house with them. It is said that the Megastar always wanted to raise tigers.
Earlier, Dr.Girikumar told the media that he became fond of tigers since he saw his favorite actor Chiranjeevi acting with a leopard. The matter reached Chiranjeevi through the media, he responded on Twitter.

Chiru tweeted saying “Dear Dr. Giri Kumar Patil, I am delighted and touched to learn that your love for Jaguars and Panthers was inspired by me. It is truly heartening that you are not willing to leave them behind during this unfortunate war time and are choosing to stay back in Ukraine for the sake of care giving to your pet Panther and Jaguar. Your compassion and love for these wonderful creatures is highly admirable. I pray for your safety during this challenging period and wish the war ends soon and normalcy is restored at the earliest. It is unknown if Dr.Girikumar saw it, but when he saw his favorite actor praying for his well-being, it would surely overwhelm the Hyderabadi physician!
