Megastar Chiranjeevi was the one who took the lead on behalf of the Telugu film industry and spoke to YS Jagan, the chief minister of Andhra Pradesh Government about the ticket prices issues in the state. After several discussions and meetings with the film fraternity, the AP government finally released the order with a new ticket pricing system in the state. Chiranjeevi is happy with this move from the government and writes a thank you note to YS Jagan and his team.
Chiranjeevi shares a thank you note on his Twitter handle mentioning about the new ticket pricing system and thanking YS Jagan for his move. “Balancing the sustainability of the theatres and providing the entertainment to the audience and also benefiting the Telugu film industry, I thank YS Jagan on the behalf of the entire industry for releasing the new GO of the updated ticket prices in the state. Allowing the small films to have 5th show in a day is a great initiative. I also thank the minister Perni Nani and the whole committee for their efforts in producing the best,” writes Chiranjeevi on his Twitter.

The new GO includes the ticket prices for all the theatres including Non AC, AC, Special theatres and Multiplexes. The regions are also categorised into Municipal corporations, municipalities and Nagar or Grama panchayats. The GO also includes the permissions for 5th shows and hike in ticket prices for super high budget films.
