Son Of India Review:
Story:
Kadiyam Babji aka Virupaksha kidnaps three persons from three different streams (politics, medicine and education). National Intelligence Agency, NIA appoints a special officer Ira to arrest Babji for the kidnaps. Why did Babji kidnap those three persons? Did Ira arrest Babji? All these questions are answered as the story progresses.
On Screen Performances:
Mohan Babu runs the entire show one handed. He gave an extraordinary performance using all his experience. His physical appearance too looks good. And of all, his diction is the highlight of his performance. He delivered many lengthy dialogues so fluently in the film. The unique point of the film is that we can see only Mohan Babu in the overall film with all other actors playing the voice characters.
Off Screen Highlights:
Diamond Ratna Babu penned a very good revenge story for the film. The same was executed visually too. The sequence of referring to all the legends of Indian mythology at the very beginning of the film is a good attempt. The experiment of running the entire screenplay just with the face of Mohan Babu needs to be equally credited. Chiranjeevi’s voice over for the film is an add on advantage for the film. Maestro Ilaiyaraaja gave some great music to lift up many scenes.
Endnote:
The basic story of the film Son Of India makes it worth watching. Mohan Babu, the sole author of the film is a treat to watch on the big screen for all his presence, performance and dialogue delivery. The film discusses some valid important issues in society currently and the entire credit goes to the writer. So if you like experimental films with high voltage performance from an actor like Mohan Babu, Son Of India is a choice to go.
