It is well known that the Hindi version of Pushpa: The Rise is a blockbuster hit with a business of above 130 crores. Everyone appreciates Allu Arjun for achieving this feat during the onset of the pandemic. A Telugu dubbed film grossing Rs 130 crore, while Bollywood straight films are struggling to gross just Rs 25 crore, is considered as a great achievement. It is believed to be an eye opener for most of the Bollywood personalities.
Bunny turned out to be a real gold mine for Manish Shah of Gold Mines Telefilms, the distributor of Pushpa: The Rise in Hindi. While interacting with the media, the Bollywood producer disclosed some facts about Allu Arjun and South movies that turned out to be shocking to him and Bollywood as well.
South Movies Have Highest Views
In his observation, Hindi audiences love South movies so much and the YouTube views of the Hindi dubbed versions of Telugu movies is the witness. He has been distributing the dubbed versions of Telugu movies for over ten years. Content has nothing to do with the language. Manish Shah says if the audience likes the story, it doesn’t matter who the hero is, who the heroine is, what the language is.
He said that the Hindi version of Allu Arjun‘s Sarrainodu created a record in terms of TRP on TV and it lasted for five years. Many other Hindi dubbed versions of Allu Arjun Telugu movies have also created records on YouTube, Manish Shah elaborated.
Now, Pushpa was released in Hindi on 1600 screens. Even in the seventh week of its release, the Hindi version of the action drama is still running in over 1000 theaters. Manish Shah speculated Puhspa: The Rise to be a big hit, but did not expect it to run in theaters even after releasing on OTT, which is still a pleasant surprise to him. Bollywood film makers really have something to learn from the South movies, concluded the producer.
