Sukumar’s recent superhit the action flick, Pushpa: The Rise’s solid success stormed the box office. The film became a blockbuster in Bollywood as well. The item number of the movie Oo Antava .. Oo Oo Antava rocked the whole country. It became an add-on to the movie while Samanths’s presence brought in a special flavour for the song. Recently the film’s music director Devi Sri Prasad (DSP) reacted to Samantha doing Oo Antava, the item number in her career.
In a recent interview, Devi Sri Prasad said, “For the first time in her career, Samantha has acted in a special song in Pushpa. Samantha is the best choice for Oo Antava song. While shooting the song, the whole thing was ready but it is not finalized who was doing it. I knew just two days before the shoot that Sam would do this song. Then I thought Samantha was the correct one for this. People feel it better to see a new face in this particular song. It was entirely up to Sukumar and Bunny (Allu Arjun) to choose Samantha. This is the first item song for Samantha so it got more clicks on social media. Samantha’s makeover in the song is also great. She was happy to dance to my music. She surprised everyone with her dancing finesse and looks. I appreciate her work on this song. “

It was the highest-grossing Indian film of the year in 2021 and was released on December 17th last year.
