Prominent Tollywood film director Pandillpalli Chandra Shekhar Reddy (86) passed away in Chennai at 8.30 A.M. today. He directed more than 80 films with top heroes of Telugu film industry like NT Rama Rao (NTR), Akkineni Nageswara Rao (ANR), Krishna, Shobhan Babu. Chandra Shekhar Reddy has done most of his movies with Superstar Krishna. The veteran actor expressed his deep condolences, terming Chandra Shekhar Reddy is his family friend and well wisher.
Badi Panthulu, Bhale Alludu, Manavudu Danavudu, Kodukulu, Jagannayakudu, Vichitra Dampathyam, Ragile Gundelu, Navodayam, Paadi Pantalu, Bangaru Kapuram, Rajakeeya Chadarangam, Anna Vadina, Peddalu Marali, Patnavasam, Anna Chellu are to name a few among his directorials. His last movie was Jagannayakudu, released in 2014.
P Chandrasekhar Reddy was born in Anumasamudram of Sri Potti Sriramulu Nellore District on 15th October, 1933. He entered the film industry as an assistant director in 1959. He also assisted the stalwart directors like Adurthi Subba Rao and Madhusudana Rao, after which he made his directorial debut with the Telugu movie Anuradha.
