Kangana Ranaut, the controversial queen of Bollywood is a name most people have heard of. The actress is all set to entertain with her upcoming multilingual movie Thalaivi. The movie is a biopic of the legendary actress and the late six time Chief Minister of Tamilnadu, Jayalalithaa. Kangana Ranaut is essaying the titular role and will be seen as Jayalalithaa.
The ambitious project of depicting Jayalalithaa’s life story on the silver screen began a few years ago. Shooting for the movie was long completed and makers wanted to release the movie in theatres. After multiple delays due to the Coronavirus pandemic, the movie is finally hitting the theatres on 10th September. On this occasion, Kangana Ranaut paid her respects to the late beloved CM of Tamil Nadu. Today, Kangana Ranaut arrived at the Jayalalithaa Memorial in Marina Beach, Chennai. The movie is directed by A.L Vijay. Arvind Swami will be seen as the late actor and politician MGR, a prominent personality in Jayalalithaa’s life. Nassar, Bhagyashree, Poorna, Madhoo, Jissu Sengupta and Samuthirakani feature in supporting roles. The movie will be released in Telugu, Tamil and Hindi languages. Music is composed by G. V. Prakash Kumar. Thalaivi is produced by Vishnu Vardhan Induri and Shailesh R Singh of Vibri Motion Pictures and Karma Media And Entertainment respectively.
