As India sees historic wins in the Tokyo Olympics, Tollywood is coming up with a bunch of exciting sports based movies. One such movie is the Varun Tej starrer Ghani, a sports drama movie centered around boxing. Varun Tej is essaying the role of a boxer in the movie, for which he underwent a massive physical transformation.
Shooting for the movie began a few months ago and the movie underwent a brief pause due to the second wave of the Coronavirus. Makers recently completed filming for the crucial boxing sequences from the movie and wrapped up shooting. In the latest, post production work has begun for the movie. Ghani is directed by Kiran Korrapati. Saiee Manjrekar is the leading lady. Naveen Chandra is essaying the role of the antagonist. Veteran actors Upendra, Jagapathi Babu and Suneil Shetty appear in crucial roles. Ghani is jointly produced by Sidhu Mudda and Allu Bobby under the banners of Renaissance Pictures and Allu Bobby Company respectively. Ghani will hit the theatres on Diwali, 2021. Varun Tej is also filming for the comedy movie F3 alongside Venkatesh, Tamannaah and Mehreen.
