Once in a while, Telugu audiences get to witness genuine love stories filled with passion, which depict subtle beauty of love. One such movie is Ninnu Kori. This movie starring Nani, Nivetha Thomas and Aadhi Pinisetty hit the theatres 4 years ago on this day and was both commercially and critically successful.
Ninnu Kori follows the story of Uma (Nani) and Pallavi (Nivetha Thomas) who love each other. Their relationship does not work due to various reasons and Pallavi later gets married to Arun (Aadhi Pinisetty) and moves to the US. However, Uma is not over Pallavi and visits her. The rest of the story follows Uma’s journey. Relationships do not work out for a whole lot of reasons and one of the biggest factors for a parent to deny their children’s choice is financial security. Uma is still on his way to secure his future when he falls in love with Pallavi. Uma lets go of her due to that reason and later pursues Pallavi when he realises he is still not over her. Nani aced this heartbroken character of Uma to perfection. Nivetha was cool and charming as Pallavi. Aadhi Pinisetty shined in his character as Arun, an understanding husband. Shiva Nirvana crafted a realistic love story where all loves do not come true and you cannot always get a happy ending for your love story. However, the movie will teach you that life goes on, it’s okay to move on and that you will find love and be happy again. This story written and directed by Shiva Nirvana, in addition to the beautiful music by Gopi Sundar, stands out as one of the best romantic movies to be made in Telugu cinema.
