Venkatesh Daggubati is one of the well known actors and prominent personalities in Telugu film industry. Widely acclaimed as the family hero of Tollywood, Venkatesh changed gears by opting unique and challenging scripts in recent times. Witnessing a favourite star in a challenging and action role is a dream come true for the fans and bringing the dreams into reality, Venkatesh is all set to steal the show with Narappa this year.
Narappa is an official remake of the Tamil blockbuster Asuran (2019) which featured Dhanush. The makers wrapped up the shoot schedule after many breaks due to the Coronavirus pandemic. In the latest, Narappa is accredited with “U/A” certification today. As the second wave of the Coronavirus is subsiding slowly, the makers of major projects are in full swing to launch their movies. However, keeping in mind the third wave of Coronavirus, the makers are in thoughts to release Narappa on OTT platforms. An official confirmation regarding the release is yet to be announced by the makers.

Venkatesh and Priyamani appear in the lead roles as Narappa and Sundramma, respectively. Prakash Raj, Karthik Rathnam, Murali Sharma and Sampath Raj will appear in the crucial roles. Under the banners of V Creations and Suresh Productions, Kalaippuli S. Thanu and Daggubati Suresh Babu are jointly producing Narappa. The film was slated to hit the big screens on 14th May, 2021 but was postponed in the light of the second wave of Coronavirus.
