Life is never going to be the same with the arrival of the Coronavirus pandemic. The sudden onset of the second wave halted the shootings for the much awaited movies like Radhe Shyam, RRR and Acharya due to the lockdown restrictions. However, Telugu Film Producers Council(TFPC,) Telugu Film Directors Association and Movie Artists Association(MAA) held a joint meeting about resuming shooting following the decrement of COVID 19 cases.
The committee issued an official statement with prescribed guidelines that needs to be followed before getting back to the sets. The guidelines read “All the artists should complete their current projects before taking up new ones. The projects halted in the month of April shall resume shooting and will be wrapped up on time. So new projects can be kick started. All artists and technicians of 24 crafts should follow this rule. Producers and directors are requested to schedule their respective projects and wrap within the given timeframe (sic.)” Adding further, they mentioned “It is mandatory to get vaccinated before entering the sets at least with the first dose. All the safety protocols should be followed and be ensured by the team managers. Production house managers should be concerned about SOPs released by the government (sic.)”

Accepting the guidelines, a committee of 10 members began shooting in the film industry. Standing first among all, Nithiin starrer Maestro kick started shooting recently and shot important scenes. Maestro is helmed by Merlapaka Gandhi. It is an official Telugu remake of Andhadhun(2018.) Nithiin is reprising the role of Ayushmann Khurrana. Tamannaah and Nabha Natesh will be seen in the roles of Tabu and Radhika Apte. Music is composed by Sagar Mahathi, while S. R. Shekhar handles editing. Maestro is produced by N Sudhakar Reddy and Nikitha Reddy under the Sreshth Movies banner and further details will be unveiled soon.
