India is an extremely diverse country in terms of everything especially linguistically, and accordingly many regional movie industries have been established. Remaking movies from different languages is a popular practice. The Nithiin starrer Maestro is the official Telugu remake of the Bollywood movie Andhadhun (2018.)
In a recent interview, the director of Maestro, Merlapaka Gandhi talked about why he is remaking the movie and more. Yesterday, the makers of Maestro shared that the final schedule of the movie has begun. Talking about that, Gandhi said “It is exciting to be back on the sets, we just have a week left to complete the shoot. We are shooting the scenes between Nithiin, Tamannaah and Harshavardhan (sic.)” Gandhi added that all the crew members have been vaccinated and are strictly adhering to the Covid 19 protocols. Merlapaka Gandhi revealed that he heard rave reviews about Andhadhun after its release. Curious, he watched it and was impressed by the screenplay. He said “This is the only movie I wanted to remake (sic.)”
Maestro is a dark comedy thriller with Nithiin, Tamannaah and Nabha Natesh in the lead roles. Mahati Swara Sagar is the music composer. S. R. Shekhar handles the editing. Maestro is produced by N. Sudhakar Reddy, N. Nikitha Reddy and Rajkumar Akella under the Sreshth Movies banner.
