- Wedding bells for Pranitha Subhash and Yami Gautam
Actress Pranitha Subhash was the first one to pleasantly surprise her fans with her marriage news. Pranitha married Nitin Raju, a business man in a private ceremony. Bollywood actress Yami Gautam tied a knot with the director of Uri: The Surgical Strike (2019,) Aditya Dhar in an intimate ceremony.

Allu Sirish and Anu Emmanuel starrer Prema Kadanta’s title and the first look was released on Allu Sirish’s birthday. Nikhil Siddhartha and Anupama Parameswaran starrer 18 Pages first look and Nikhil’s solo look from the movie were unveiled on Nikhil’s birthday.

- Trailers and Teasers: Ardha Shathabhdam, Jagame Thandhiram and Son Of India.
The trailer of the action drama Ardha Shathabdham was released this week and the movie will premiere on the OTT platform Aha on 11th June. Dhanush starrer Jagame Thandhiram will premiere on the OTT platform Netflix on 18th June and the trailer was released. The teaser of Mohan Babu starrer Son Of India was also released this week.

Nithiin and Samantha starrer A Aa (2016) was released this week 5 years ago and Allu Arjun starrer Iddarammayilatho (2013) was released 8 years ago, this week. Manchu Manoj’s travel romance Prayanam (2009) completed 11 years of release. Kamal Haasan and Jaya Prada starrer and K. Viswanath’s directorial, the cult classic Sagara Sangamam (1983) celebrated 38 years of release this week.

Samantha Akkineni made her Hindi and digital debut with the second season of the action thriller web series The Family Man. Samantha plays the antagonist in this series. The Family Man is available for streaming on Prime Video.

This week was filled with many prominent names celebrating their birthdays. Actors Allu Sirish, Nikhil Siddhartha, Madhavan and Super Star Krishna all had their birthdays this week. Directors Gunasekhar and Mani Ratnam, Maestro Ilaiyaraaja also had their birthdays this week. Actress Priyamani and singer Hemachandra had their birthdays. This week marks the 75th birth anniversary of the legendary singer S. P. Balasubrahmanyam.
