The late Nandamuri Taraka Rama Rao aka Sr. NTR is a legend in not just the Telugu film industry but also the Indian film industry. His contributions do not end at the film industry but extend to the country’s service as he served as the chief minister of the united Andhra Pradesh. On the occasion of Sr. NTR’s 98th birth anniversary today, the Mega Star Chiranjeevi made an appeal to the government.
He requested the government of India to award Bharat Ratna to Sr. NTR for his contributions to the film industry and also his leadership. Chiranjeevi took to social media to share this appeal. Chiranjeevi wrote “The prominent singer, Bhupen Hazarika was awarded Bharat Ratna posthumously. Awarding the prominent leader and legendary actor Sr. NTR with Bharat Ratna would be an honour to the Telugu people.” Sr. NTR was awarded Padma Shri by the government in 1968.
