Adivi Sesh is proving to be a versatile actor with his every new movie. Major written by Adivi Sesh and directed by Sashi Kiran Tikka is a biographical drama based on the life of Major Sandeep Unnikrishnan, an army officer who sacrificed his life to save 14 hostages during the 2008 Mumbai Terror Attacks.
The gripping teaser of Major received a phenomenal response and love. Fans since then have been eager to witness the movie in the theatres. Major was originally scheduled for a worldwide release on 2nd July. Keeping the current situation of the second wave of the Coronavirus, the movie has been postponed. The new release date will be announced once normalcy is restored.

Saiee Manjrekar plays the romantic interest to Sesh’s character, while Sobhita Dhulipala plays a crucial role. Prakash Raj and Revathi appear as Major Sandeep Unnikrishnan’s parents. Sashi Kiran Tikka is the director while Sri Charan Pakala is the music composer. Under the GMB Entertainment banner, Major is the first film produced by Mahesh Babu. Major is simultaneously shot in both Telugu and Hindi languages and will be dubbed into Malayalam language as well.
