Being from the film industry, we are quite used to being busy. However due to lockdown we all are staying at home currently. Unlike other fields, we don’t have options like work from home. In the industry, we are supposed to work with a bunch of people which is way too risky now. So, we all are staying home and staying safe.
Being from the film industry, we don’t get personal space so how are you enjoying this personal time in the lockdown?
It is a fact that we had 2 to 3 solid years of rigorous work. With the sudden lockdown, it was hard to adjust behind the four walls but we all made peace with it. I am enjoying my time with family, cooking meals and enjoying family discussions. Finally some space for ourselves, we are enjoying each other’s company.
What is your daily routine in the lockdown?
My daily routine involves searching for content, writing, workouts, cooking meals and talking with friends.
What are your upcoming projects?
My upcoming project is a movie titled Black & white, a highway thriller. I play the role of a cab driver who is colour blind. It is a very interesting script and I am very excited for the film. A new production house is bankrolling this film and it is currently going through post production works. Keeping in mind the current pandemic situation we are deciding on an OTT or theatrical release. Apart from Black & White I have done a web series with Amala Paul on Aha directed by Pavan Kumar. Another anthology drama titled Panchathantram, where I and Shivathmika play the lead roles is also on the cards.
What is your opinion on Nepotism?
The term Nepotism sounds negative, from my perspective it is in a grey shaded area it is neither black nor white. I feel everyone has privileges at every point, like being from the film industry or being an outsider. We have access but we have to figure out how and what we should do and all, that’s how it happens. When you are coming from the industry you have things to lose. But at the end of the day, hard work, discipline and respect towards their work makes one successful despite coming from the film industry or outside.
