Raj Nidimoru and Krishna D.K. collectively known as Raj and DK are well known directors of Indian cinema. Hailing from Tirupathi of Chittoor district, Raj and DK graduated from Sri Venkateswara University. They predominantly worked in Bollywood. Raj and DK collaboratively write, produce, and direct films. The first Hindi film by Raj and DK titled 99(2009) was acclaimed as funny, inventive and refreshing by The New York Times. The recent popular web series, The Family Man (2019) was crafted by the duo Raj and DK. After receiving a phenomenal response for the first season, the makers are geared up for the second season this year. Raj and DK who are currently basking in the success of Cinema Bandi(2021,) expressed their interest of making their directorial debut in Telugu.
In a recent exclusive interview, Raj and DK said they met Superstar Mahesh Babu and Rowdy star Vijay Deverakonda. They discussed the story lines with each of them and are willing to mark their directorial debut in Tollywood. However, whether these projects are on go is yet to be confirmed, but the duo Raj and DK sound hopeful. Raj and DK produced the recent popular Cinema Bandi which is currently trending on the internet. The film is receiving phenomenal response from the audience.

On the work front, Mahesh Babu is currently working for the second schedule of Sarkaru Vaari Paata. Keerthy Suresh is the leading lady. The film is directed by Parasuram and S.Thaman is the tunesmith. Sarkaru Vaari Paata is jointly produced by Mythri Movie Makers, 14 Reels Plus and Mahesh Babu’s own production house GMB Entertainment. A new project with Trivikram Srinivas tentatively titled SSMB28 is on the cards. One the other hand, Vijay Deverakonda, is gearing up with a sports drama titled Liger under the direction of Puri Jagannadh. Ananya Panday is the leading lady. Karan Johar’s Dharma Productions and Puri Connects are jointly producing the film.
