Banking on the success of Yash, who shot to nationwide fame as Rocky Bhai from K.G.F: Chapter 1, one of his older superhit movies Gajakesari (2014,) is getting a theatrical release once again. Gajakesari is dubbed into Telugu and will release in Telangana and Andhra Pradesh on March 5th, 2021. The movie was directed by S. Krishna and produced by Jayanna and Bogendra.
Here are the reasons why this Yash starrer is a must watch:
1) Yash
Rocking Star Yash would be the first and foremost reason to watch Gajakesari. Ever since, K.G.F: Chapter 1 released in theaters, Yash suddenly found himself catapulted to national fame owing to his portrayal of Rocky Bhai, an underworld don who becomes a people’s champion. Yash was suddenly viewed in a new light, and his older movies began attracting attention as well. Gajakesari was one of Yash’s biggest hits in his career and Yash being the protagonist is a good reason to watch the movie.
2) S. Krishna
Krishna helmed the direction department and contributed immensely to the overall appeal and aesthetic of Gajakesari. Krishna managed to capture the stunning visuals in the jungle scenes. Moreover, scenes which involved Yash interacting with his elephant friend look authentic and brilliantly captured. All these were achieved due to his (krishna) previous experience as a cinematographer.
3) Plot
Gajakesari is a period flashback movie and like any other movie in this genre, this movie has an engaging flashback storyline. The movie has Baahubali (Yash) as an army general for a king. Baahubali is a reputed warrior and tactician and with his pet elephant Balarama, Baahubali used to wreak havoc on the battlefield. However, both Baahubali and Balarama lose their lives due to treachery. How the director manages to connect this piece of history to Krishna (Yash) in the present forms for an interesting plot.
4) V. Harikrishna
Harikrishna, the music director for Gajakesari delivered six brilliant soundtracks which would resonate with the audiences. Apart from composing the songs, the background music also adds value to the movie especially during the flashback scenes and the final climax.
We believe the aforementioned points are reasons enough to watch Gajakesari over the weekend. What are your thoughts? Let us know in the comments section below!
