The Telugu movie HIT: The First Case saw Vishwak Sen deliver a compelling performance as a police officer investigating the case of a missing woman while battling demons from his past. . The first part of the film, which was released on February 28th 2020, achieved a box office record of Rs. 8.5 crores as well as earned critical acclaim. Now after one year, to celebrate the resounding success of the film, the makers announced a sequel to HIT.
Meenakshi Chaudhary who acted in the Ravi Teja starrer Khiladi is now joining the cast of the sequel for HIT. Speaking to a popular news daily, Meenakshi Chaudhary said “My role in the film has a completely new spin, very different from my earlier characters, and that’s what made me sign the film (sic.)” Moreover, she goes on to add, “I have watched the first instalment and was in awe of the narration. But I tell you, the second one will be even more gripping and intense. So double the joy (sic.)”

HIT starred Vishwak Sen and Ruhani Sharma as the leads, while Murli Sharma, Brahmaji, Bhanuchander and Hari Priya were seen in supporting roles. Sailesh Kolanu is the director and Nani produced HIT under Wall Poster Cinema, his production banner. While the first part saw Vishwak sen and Ruhani Sharma in the lead roles, it is reported the sequel would introduce new faces as the lead roles. Meenakshi Chaudhary is the first name to be announced and would probably be seen as the female lead.
The thrilling ride of the sequel is said to happen in Andhra Pradesh, by KD. So who is KD? Nani’s snippets about the sequel seem to be just the beginning and were already enough to get the rumour mills buzzing as well to raise the curiosity factor.
