Yash is currently one of the biggest stars in India right now following the success of K.G.F: Chapter 1. Since then Yash became a household name in India and the sequel forto KGF, is now one of the highly anticipated movies. Banking on the success of Yash, one of his older superhit movies Gajakesari (2014,) is getting a theatrical release once again.
Gajakesari is being dubbed into Telugu and is being released in theaters ofon March 5th, 2021. The movie tells the story of Krishna (Yash) who is a happy go lucky man and is also slated to be a successor to the pontiff of Shankara Narayana temple in Mysore. However, Krishna is not interested to pursue a life of devotion and in order for him to avoid being the pontifical successor, Krishna has to donate an elephant to the temple. Krishna ventures into the jungles of Kerala where he comes across a tribal group who revere Krishna as the reincarnation of Baahubali, a fierce army general from the past. How Krishna steps up into the shoes of Baahubali and earns the title of Gajakesari forms for the rest of the movie.

Gajakesari was called one of the biggest hits in Sandalwood. The film released at around 150 theaters across Karnataka. It was also reported the film recovered its making cost even before the release.
Gajakesari stars Yash and Amulya in the lead roles while John Vijay plays the role of the antagonist. The movie is directed by S. Krishna while beingand produced by Jayanna and Bogendra. Prakash Raj plays the role of a narrator when introducing Yash’s character in Gajakesari.
