A few days ago, it was officially announced the Venkatesh Daggubati starrer Drushyam (2014,) will be getting a sequel. The Telugu sequel will be helmed by Director Jeethu Joseph, who just scored a blockbuster hit with the Malayalam version of Drishyam 2. Just after a week of official announcement, the makers launched the Telugu sequel officially and are also all set to begin the regular shoot from March 5.
On Monday, March 1, Drushyam 2 was officially launched with a formal pooja ceremony in the presence of Venkatesh, Suresh Babu and other crew members. The makers shared a picture from the pooja ceremony on social media platforms.

Drushyam was considered one of the best thrillers of Indian cinema. The first part of Drushyam was directed by Sripriya and did extremely well at the box office. Suresh Babu, who produced Drushyam, is also producing the sequel. The rest of the actors, including Meena, Naresh, Nadiya, Krithika, Esther Anil and others, are expected to reprise their roles from the 2014 Telugu remake for the sequel.

The story of the film was based on a man named Rambabu, who goes to great lengths to cover up the manslaughter committed by his wife and elder daughter. Eight years later, Drushyam 2 is coming back and fans are excited to see Rambabu on the silver screen once again.
