Nani, often referred to as the Natural Star of Tollywood, would be seen as a Bengali and in a look which is reminiscent of the mid 1900s. On the birthday of the Natural Star, just a few days ago, the first look of Nani as Shyam Singha Roy was released on social media platforms. The poster drew a lot of appreciation from the movie fraternity and the fans, as Nani looks sharp with gelled hair and a pencil moustache, a look reminiscent of the olden days.
A source close to the movie said, Shyam Singha Roy is a fictional story based on the life history of a famous Bengali personality from the 1960s. Shyam Singha Roy is reportedly based on the protagonist’s quest for his identity from his previous birth. The source also said beneath the pursuit of his identity, Shyam Singha Roy has a poetic and beautiful love story.

Shyam Singha Roy features Sai Pallavi and Krithi Shetty as the female leading ladies. Shyam Singha Roy is bankrolled by Venkat S. Boyanapalli under the banner Niharika Entertainments and will be directed by Rahul Sankrityan. The film’s story is penned by Satyadev Junga, while Mickey J. Meyer will be composing the music.
Shyam Singha Roy was announced on February 24, 2020 and was expected to go on floors in May 2020. However, the production schedule had to be delayed because of the COVID-19 lockdown. Shyam Singha Roy also features Rahul Ravindran, Murali Sharma and Abhinav Gomatam in key roles.
