Prabhas’ upcoming pan Indian project Adipurush under the direction of Bollywood Director Om Raut is one of the most anticipated films of the Indian cinema. From leading lady to music composer, rumours about the cast and crew of Adipurush are the biggest scoop on social media. While Bollywood Nawab, Saif Ali Khan has been announced as Ravana, several names popped out as rumours for roles like Sita, Laxman and Lord Shiva. Now, Bollywood actor Sunny Singh is the latest addition to the cast of Prabhas’s upcoming film Adipurush.
Sunny Singh, who is popularly known for films like Pyaar Ka Punchnama and Sonu Ke Titu Ki Sweety, has been roped in to play a crucial role in the film. Reportedly, the actor will be seen in the role of Lord Laxman, who is the younger brother of Lord Ram, played by Prabhas in the film.
Sunny Singh joined the sets of Adipurush and began shooting for his portions in Mumbai. The filmmaker sent a handwritten note to welcome Sunny Singh on the film set, along with a bouquet. Sunny Singh took to Instagram to share Om Raut’s special note, which says, “Dear Sunny, Thank you again for being there …First day of our new journey together. God willing many more such. Luv, Om (sic).”
Adipurush is based on one of the most loved epics in Indian mythology, the Ramayana. Helmed on the whopping budget of Rs. 350-400 crore, Adipurush is bankrolled by Bhushan Kumar, Krishan Kumar, Om Raut, Prasad Sutar and Rajesh Nair under T- Series. The 3D extravaganza will be shot as a bilingual in Telugu and in Hindi, it will be dubbed in Tamil, Malayalam, Kannada, and several other foreign languages. Adipurush is officially set to hit the theatres on August 9, 2022.
