The upcoming Telugu Uppena is one the most talked and anticipated debut films of Tollywood. The film will mark the debut of Panja Vaisshnav, the nephew of Chiranjeevi and brother of Sai Dharam Tej. The film also marks the debut of Krithi Shetty in Tollywood, who is the leading lady and Director Buchi Babu. While the songs, teaser and trailer struck the right note amongst the audience, the pre release event of Uppena will be happening tonight and it is an extravaganza!
As Uppena is gearing up for the big release in just a few days, the makers are leaving no stone unturned to promote the movie and increase curiosity levels among the fans and audience. On February 6, Saturday, the pre release will be happening from 6:00 P.M., which will be live on the YouTube channel and Facebook page of the leading Tollywood news portal, Telugu Filmnagar. Panja Vaisshnav’s uncle, the Megastar Chiranjeevi will grace the pre release event of Uppena as the chief guest. The event will also grace many predominant hotshots like Director Sukumar, Music Director Devi Sri Prasad, Makkal Selvan Vijay Sethupathi, Buchi Babu, along with the lead actors Vaisshnav and Krithi Shetty.

On January 4, the trailer of Uppena was released and it has trended on social media platforms for all the right reasons. The trailer tells the tale of a young couple in love, finding opposition from the girl’s family. Reportedly, the movie will explore the evils of honor killings which took place in Andhra Pradesh. Uppena will feature Vaisshnav Tej as a fisherman and Krithi Shetty as a young college girl. Tamil actor Vijay Sethupathi, who is playing the role of a father, is the menacing antagonist.

Uppena is bankrolled by popular filmmaker Sukumar, in association with Mythri Movie Makers. The music is composed by Devi Sri Prasad and the background music along with songs are the major highlights of the film. Uppena is all set for its theatrical release on February 12th, 2021.
