Pradeep Machiraju and debutante Amritha Aiyer’s movie, 30 Rojullo Preminchadam Ela finally released in movie theaters after an year long wait. The movie was supposed to be released last year but the COVID-19 pandemic and the consequent closure of movie halls have put a dampener on the release plans. However, during the waiting period Neeli Neeli Aakasam, a song from the movie became a chatbuster and is still being played on radio shows and television.
30 Rojullo Preminchadam Ela begins in the pre independence period and shows the story of a couple who are deeply in love with each other. However, things take a turn for the worse when the couple lose their lives under dire circumstances. Fast forward to the present the couple are reborn as Arjun and Akshara but hate each other. During the course of the movie, their souls are interchanged with their bodies. Why did the body change happen, why were they reincarnated, this forms the rest of the story.
Considering this is Pradeep’s first outing as a lead actor, he does a very good job essaying the roles of a villager in the past and that of a college student in the present. Debutante Amritha also does a good job and displays brilliance in some emotional sequences which shows she is here to stay. Viva Harsha and Bhadram are good with their comedic timing and Hrsha proves once again why he is the pick of the town for every movie.
While the acting is good, things go a little haywire with the narration at times while the twist is revealed at a time which feels odd. Perhaps the only drawback is more time should have been spent developing the love story in the past than spending needless time in the present story.
If watching a pleasant love story with beautiful music is your thing then 30 Rojullo Preminchadam Ela will be your cup of tea. Let us know if you will be watching the movie in theaters over the weekend.
