A new picture of Chiranjeevi along with Murali Mohan and R. Sarathkumar is doing the rounds on social media. For a lot of fans, this picture is bringing back memories of the 1991 Chiranjeevi starrer Gang Leader, a superhit movie which had the three actors playing the role of siblings. Gang Leader is one of the greatest hits in the early 1990s not just because of the ensemble cast but also because of the gripping plot, action and not to mention the late, legendary Balasubramanyam’s songs.
The latest picture shows Chiranjeevi, Murali Mohan and R. Sarathkumar who played the roles of Rajaram, Raghupathi and Raghava respectively, in Gang Leader. This is the first time all three of the actors are captured in a single frame since 1991. The reunion which happened after 30 years is a pure coincidence as all three of the actors were present at Ramoji Film Studios at the same time, but for different reasons. Chiranjeevi was shooting for his upcoming movie Acharya which is being directed by Siva Koratala. Murali Mohan and R. Sarathkumar were at Ramanaidu studios shooting for a movie being screened by Mani Ratnam. When Chiranjeevi came to know both Murali Mohan and Sarathkumar were available at the studios, he asked for a photographer to click a picture of the three of them meeting.
Gang Leader was directed by Vijaya Bapineedu and was written by the Paruchuri Brothers. Vijayashanthi, Rao Gopal Rao, Anandaraj, Sudha and Allu Ramalingiah appear in supporting roles for Gang Leader.
Let us know in the comments if the picture brings back memories of the legendary movie Gang Leader.
