The pan Indian project Adipurush, starring Prabhas, under the direction of Bollywood director Om Raut, is going to be the most awaited film in the Indian film industry. It is because Adipurush is based on one of most loved epics in Indian mythology, which is the Ramayana. The epic mythos tells the story of how Lord Ram triumphs over the Asura king Raavan and is also a tale of how good wins over bad.
An update about Adipurush was finally announced early in the morning, today. Director Om Raut and Prabhas took to their social media accounts to let everyone know the motion capture sequences commenced for Adipurush. The update comes with a picture of Om Raut posing with a group of motion capture actors. The motions of these actors will be used to develop animated frames. The world of Ramayan has many demons, and Hanuman, the monkey god, and his peoples, all of which needs to be developed using graphics. Om Raut is quite particular about the quality of his work and it reflected in his previous period drama, Tanhaji.

Bollywood’s Saif Ali Khan will be playing the role of Lankesh, which is based on the asura king of Lanka, Raavan. In the Indian mythology, Asuras are considered as powerful entities who are akin to demi gods and are always in constant battle with Devas or Suras. Devas are heavenly beings and are often associated with good while Asuras are regarded as evil. Kriti Sanon bagged the role of Sita and will star alongside Prabhas. Saif Ali Khan recently faced backlash for his comments on how the director will try to justify Raavan’s abduction of SIta. Saif came out and apologised and said his comments have been taken out of context.
Adipurush will be the biggest Indian film to release in theatres post-Covid-19. It will have a lot of VFX work involved and techniques never seen before in Indian films. Helmed on the whopping budget of Rs. 350-400 crore, Adipurush is bankrolled by Bhushan Kumar, Krishan Kumar, Om Raut, Prasad Sutar and Rajesh Nair under T- Series.
