Kamal Haasan is one of the busiest Indian personalities, who is juggling with his work commitments in the film industry and politics. After being busy with Bigg Boss 4 Tamil, for almost 3 months, Kamal Haasan has decided to take a small break from work and political commitments, owing to health reasons.
The South star took to social media and announced a hiatus from professional commitments owing to follow up leg surgery. This announcement has definitely come as a shock for everyone especially to his fans, who are eagerly waiting for his upcoming film Indian 2. Kamal Haasan issued a statement, which said, “I have successfully completed the season 4 of Bigg Boss which had commenced when lockdown and regulations were stricter due to Coronavirus. I am happy that I could interact with more than four and a half crore of my people through Bigg Boss. Due to an accident a few years back, I had undergone surgery on my leg. In continuation of that surgery, I was required to undergo a follow up surgery. The doctors had advised me to take a rest until then. I undertook my professional and political responsibilities superseding the advise given, to enable me to reach out to my brothers and sisters (sic.)”

On the work front, Kamal Haasan is currently working on Indian 2, which is the sequel of Director Shankar’s and Kamal Haasan’s 1996 blockbuster Indian. The film is directed by S. Shankar and bankrolled by Lyca Productions. The cast of the film includes Kajal Aggarwal, Siddharth, Rakul Preet Singh, Priya Bhavani Shankar, Bobby Simha, Manobala and Nedumudi Venu among others. Indian 2 has completed 60% of the shooting and later due to the accident on the film’s set, which killed three people, the shooting was put to a halt. Apart from this, Kamal Haasan will also be collaborating with Director Lokesh Kanagaraj, of Master, for an upcoming film titled, Evanendru Ninaithai.
