Ravi Teja, who is fondly known as the Mass Maharaja, is all set to bash the box office and entertain the audience during this Sankranthi season with his upcoming film Krack. The film is released today (January 9,) in theatres all across the Telugu states. As an actor, Ravi Teja has been continuously impressive and now he is keen to try his hands at the field of direction.
In a recent interview, Ravi Teja hinted at making his debut as a director. When asked if he has any plans to direct in the future, Ravi Teja said, “there are possibilities definitely. There are offers for me to direct too (sic.)”
Interestingly, Ravi Teja started out his career as an assistant director, working in both television and film. As an assistant director, he worked in several Bollywood as well as Tollywood projects including Prathihnbandh, Aaj Ka Goonda Raj, and Criminal. In 1999, Ravi Teja played the lead role in a film titled, Nee Kosam, directed by Srinu Vaitla. However, Ravi Teja got his big break and rose to fame as a hero with Puri Jagannadh’s Itlu Sravani Subramanyam.
Meanwhile, Krack is directed by Gopichand Malineni, and the Gopichand-Ravi Teja combo, previously delivered superhit movies like Don Seenu and Balupu. The film is produced by B. Madhu under his production company Saraswathi Films Division and S.S.Thaman is the music composer. Varalakshmi Sarathkumar, Samuthirakani, Ali, Chirag Jani and Vamsi Chaganti will appear in pivotal roles in the film. Krack will also feature Apsara Rani in a special number to sizzle the dance floor.
