Samantha Akkineni is making her debut on the OTT platform, Amazon Prime Video, with the most anticipated web series The Family Man, Season 2, directed by Raj Nidimoru and Krishna D.K. The makers released a motion poster of the film today to introduce Samantha’s character and also to announce the details of the release date,
On Thursday, the OTT platform, Amazon Prime Video launched an intriguing motion poster of the web series, The Family Man, Season 2, which led to a wave of euphoria amongst its fans across the country. The motion poster shows an intense protagonist Manoj Bajpayee looking into the camera as a collage of Samantha Akkineni’s character emerges in the background. The Family Man, Season 2 will premiere on February 12, 2021, on Amazon Prime Video, in Hindi, Tamil, and Telugu.
Sharing the motion poster on social media, Samantha also revealed that she will be playing the role of Raji, what the character will be doing in the series is kept under wraps. As all the characters from the previous season will reprise their roles, the new addition to the show is Telugu star Samantha Akkineni. Speaking to a leading daily, Director Raj Nidimoru revealed about how he roped in Samantha in Season 2. He was quoted as saying, “When we spoke to her (Samantha) for the first time, we told her that it is not a glamorous role and it will have a lot of action sequences. She didn’t take even a second and said, ‘I am up for it. That is exactly what I want (sic.)”
The Family Man, Season 2, will feature Manoj Bajpayee, Priyamani, Sharib Hashmi, Shreya Dhanwanthary, Sharad Kelkar and Samantha Akkineni. The Family Man plot focuses on Manoj Bajpayee’s Srikant Tiwari, an intelligence officer, his misadventures, and how he tries to maintain a balance between his personal and professional life.
