Fans of Prabhas have been speculating since the last couple of months about a possible project with Prashanth Neel. The Rebel Star’s meetings with Neel only strengthened the speculations. Hombale Films, the production house behind India’s biggest blockbuster the KGF series is bankrolling this project. The production house announced the project which is titled as Salaar, and announced it on their Twitter handle with a first look of Prabhas as Salaar.
Hombale Films Twitter handle posted about an audition call, which called for people from all age groups to come and try their luck at the auditions for Salaar in Hyderabad. The makers behind the Prabhas starrer are looking for fresh talent and want to source talent from the auditions which will also be held in Chennai and Bangalore. Aspiring actors have turned up in hordes at the Aluminium factory where the auditions took place yesterday.

As more and more people turned up for the auditions, the makers have arranged for multiple screenings where the interested candidates can record a one minute video of them acting in any language. Owing to the large turnout, police personnel have also been deployed at the audition site to keep the crowd under control.
Prashanth Neel recently opened up about Salaar while talking to a news daily. Neel said “you can say that a Salaar is the right hand man to a king. He is the general (sic.)” talking more about the movie, Neel also said “the stronger the villain is, the stronger the heroism that can be shown on screen. I try to create an environment where it offers both of these. In our given scenario, I will not be able to achieve villainy to that level, nor will I be able to elevate heroism to that point. This is why I try to make my world more violent (sic.)”
