On Saturday, the popular production house, Matinee Entertainment, announced their collaboration with talented Director Swaroop R.S.J., of Agent Sai Srinivasa Athreya fame. Not long after the success of the film, Swaroop announced his second film, titled Mishan Impossible. The title poster of the film received flak from the audience for portraying the mythological characters in a disrespectful way. The production house, after a lot of deliberation, took down the poster and apologised for hurting some peoples’ sentiments unintentionally.
After the backlash, the production house, Matinee Entertainment released a statement, which reads, “In Relation to certain objections raised about a recent poster of Mishan Impossible released by us, we wish to state and clarify that we did not intend to hurt the feelings or sentiments of any section of the society. We regret any unintentional hurt that may have caused and we have taken steps for recalling the poster immediately (sic.)”

A close source to the film’s unit revealed that the filmmakers don’t want to take any chances by letting negativity be attached to an interesting project. The source said, “After a lot of deliberation due to personal phone calls from various individuals and backlash on social media, they have recalled the poster. The children in the poster are going to be the supporting characters, there will be two well-known actors playing the leads. The idea behind the poster was to show how these children help the lead characters with their innocence, grit, determination and sense of invincibility, but it was mistaken for otherwise. An official announcement of the cast and crew will be made soon, so will details of the shooting and release (sic.)”
The production house will be releasing a brand new poster soon and it will be interesting to see what this poster will portray. The pre production work on Mishan Impossible, begins this month and the film will go on to the floors later this month.
